It’s already October again, and it seems the leaves are finally starting to fall from the trees. Luckily, we have had lots of time to enjoy the lovely sunny weather. Perhaps we can keep some of this warmth in our hearts to subdue the cold of the coming months.
Autumn is also the start of expositions and courses, it is a time to look around. I have some expositions which will take off shortly, while some others are still ongoing.
Soon in Madrid
This year, I have been invited by Paola Trevisan, curator of TIA, to take part in the international TIA – an exposition in Madrid. Three of my artworks have been selected for this exhibition; “Islands of my Thoughts I, II and III”. The exposition is held at Sala Prado, Ateneo in Madrid. The opening is on Tuesday 18th of October at 19.30 PM. I will also be present. The exhibition lasts from 18th to 31st of October.
New course of this year: Toonbeeld
At Toonbeeld in Terneuzen, the course year 2016-2017 has started. I take great pleasure in leading the course again this year, working with both new and loyal students. The children’s atelier, “De Kleiboeren” (the clay farmers) could use some extra members, so we can discover clay together with a fun group on Wednesday afternoons.
Tip: Exposition Het Warenhuis
The exhibition of the AaquArt foundation at museum Het Warenhuis in Axel is certainly worth a visit.
I am currently setting up the Fall exposition. Everything is still very topsy-turvy, and it is still a surprise how it will turn out exactly. However, the title has already been revealed; “Feelings”. This is a theme I work on from time to time. Lately, I have been able to take it up again, and I would like to show the results. The exposition opens on friday the 28th of October.
The gallery is opened on the following days:
- Friday 28th of October
- Saturday 29th of October
- Friday 18th and 25th of November
- Saturday 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th of November
Time: from 13.00 PM until 16.30 PM
